Hello everyone! I am an english landscape designer, specialised in the creation of ecological Italian gardens. I am based in Siena, Tuscany and I have been living in Italy for the past 13 years.
I have a very tranquil time working for private gardens and mainly foreign clients in the whole of Tuscany. I kive in a 16th century hermitage where Pope Marcello II's decendants still live and I live a rather peculiar existence here with my girlfriend, who is a great photographer (www.italmacro.com and) and my dog (a short-haired German pointer) who is a great sleeper!
I spend my days gardening, designing or writing articles about the wonderful art of gardening, which is not so boring as one may think! I, for example, have led a rich life enjoying London clubbing, the vibrant art scene in Barcelona and the fashion and style of the rich Italian culture. However, I still find the humble art of gardening to be the most interesting, nourishing and calming ways to pass my time.
For the past 15 years or so I have been busy perfecting a garden design system that can save 80% on water consumption, 80% on general maintenance and that costs just the half of standard garden design systems and it's all ... ecological! (see www.ecologicagardens.com)
In this blog I will be providing weekly posts about what needs to be done, in which period and how in the modern and classic Italian garden.
Check out my daily experiences and discover the routine work that can makes my life so rewarding and that make your Italian garden look simply spectacular!
