Hi everyone, my name is Jonathan Radford and when I find some time between designing, restoring and working on Italian garden projects I will be working on this blog. I am an ecological garden designer and I run my garden design business from Siena, Tuscany. I’ve been here for 13 years and I intend to transmit some of the Italian garden knowledge, gathered while working throughout Italy to anyone that wishes to read it.
My intention is to provide you with a useful resource base for information concerning Italian gardening by establishing an Italian garden calender. This will allow you to discover which tasks need to be done in order to maintain your Italian garden in pristine condition. I speak fluent Italian and I will be providing you with useful Italian gardening terms that may help you through the early stages of your Itlian garden experience.
You will be able to partake in my daily Italian gardening tasks at a large Renaissance style garden in sothern Tuscany (see www.lafoce.com). Hopefully this will provide you with an insight into the life of a gardener in Italy and will also allow you to learn about some of the duties that are necessary for maintaining Italian gardens.
